We’re launching Crisis Text Line in Canada with our partner Kids Help Phone! The service is powered by volunteer Crisis Responders who have applied, been accepted, passed a background check, and successfully completed training. These Crisis Responders work remotely anywhere with a computer and secure internet connection.
Crisis Responders answer texts from people in crisis, bringing them from a hot moment to a cool calm through active listening, collaborative problem solving, and safety planning.
Crisis Responders commit to 4 hours per week for 1 year--a big commitment that will feed your soul like a warm hug.
Complete the 30-minute application and if you’re selected for training, obtain and successfully get a Vulnerable Sector check - don’t worry, we will tell you how to do this!

Take your first shift and start changing lives!
Learn skills. In 30 hours, you’ll walk away knowing reflective listening, collaborative problem solving, and crisis management. (These are skills that will help in your personal relationships too!)
Train from anywhere. In your PJs. In a coffee shop. Whatever.
