Before you help us spread the word, there are a few things you should know about Crisis Text Line.
How does Crisis Text Line work? When someone needs support, they can text HOME or HOLA to 741741 to connect with a live volunteer Crisis Counselor who helps them move from a hot moment to a place of calm through nonjudgmental support.
Who are volunteer Crisis Counselors? They are trained volunteers who—with the support of full-time Crisis Text Line staff—use empathy, active listening, collaborative problem solving, and safety planning to help texters in their moment of crisis.
