Ayla Tezel-Moody is an accomplished communicator, leader, and strategist with expertise in digital marketing, reputation management, content marketing, branding, social media, and internal communications.

Prior to joining Crisis Text Line, Ayla played a key role on a small but mighty brand marketing team at Main Street America Insurance. She provided thought leadership, strategy, and execution for the company’s marketing efforts. This included advertising campaigns, social media, reputation management, SEO and content marketing programs and two brand refreshes.

Ayla spent over a decade at Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) serving as Vice President of Communications and Director of Public Relations She played an integral role in shaping the growth of WWP from a start-up charity to a $385M nonprofit. This growth allowed the organization to increase their investment in critical, life-saving programs. During her tenure, she built and led a full-service communications team including public relations, marketing, social media, internal communications and a national speakers bureau. Ayla was responsible for effectively investing a $13 million budget to garner public awareness, generate new donors, and recruit new community members. She spearheaded annual PSA campaigns that drove up to $93M in donated space from national cable outlets, print publications, and Out of Home (OOH) media.

Early in her career, Ayla held multiple roles of increasing responsibility at The Meridian Group, an advertising, public relations, and digital marketing firm in Virginia Beach as well as at Laura Davidson Public Relations in New York City.

Ayla holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with High Honors from Muhlenberg College. She also holds certifications in Digital Marketing Strategy and Marketing & Innovation from Columbia Business School. She lives in Jacksonville, FL with her husband, two sons and two mini-schnauzers.
