Dena Trujillo

Dena Trujillo, CEO of Crisis Text Line, has spent over 20 years operating at the intersection of nonprofit and for-profit – sourcing, advising and amplifying innovative models that leverage innovative technology and business solutions to maximize social impact. 

Prior to joining Crisis Text Line, Dena was an Investment Partner at Omidyar Network, where she spent 17 years driving philanthropic initiatives around the world. In addition, she managed a grant and investment portfolio of over $150 million across sectors ranging from education to economic development specializing in marketplaces and talent development networks that empower people to enable scale and system change. Dena’s career began in consulting at Accenture focusing on human performance and change management for large scale technology implementations.

Dena received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Organizational Analysis from Santa Clara University.  She is a current board member for Crisis Text Line and High Resolves and is proud to have previously served on the boards of other organizations including: DonorsChoose, Fuse Corps, African Leadership University/African Leadership Group.

Dena loves to explore our beautiful planet – traveling, hiking, gardening, meditating, learning, laughing, dancing, playing games, enjoying delicious food – and most importantly, spending time with her family and teenage children.
