As Crisis Text Line’s VP of Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI), Ebony leads the important work of creating and implementing a holistic JEDI strategy. In addition, she is responsible for building a strategy that embodies values, policies, and practices to ensure all people (including those who have been historically underrepresented based on race/ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation and disability) are treated equitably within the work of Crisis Text Line’s mission.
Ebony started her career in the mailroom at the Endeavor Agency (now William Morris Endeavor) and found her path in People Operations where she created a corporate training structure to help new employees acclimate to the company. She was also instrumental in developing a nationwide mentorship program and a global internship template reaching 22 countries — instilling sustainable cultural changes in every environment she has worked in.
For the past two decades, Ebony has lived in Los Angeles, New York City, Paris and London where she has worked in fashion, tech and entertainment, ushering in diversity, equity, justice and inclusion by overseeing recruitment, mentorship, strategic partnerships and organizational development. She has moved into a world in which a grassroots approach takes the lead in creating positive change on a global scale. In 2017, she was listed on Variety’s Inclusion Impact Report.
