Title: Chief People and Strategy Officer
Joined Crisis Text Line: April 2020
With a background in healthcare, nonprofit institutions, tech giants and startups, Dana Trader brings a uniquely informed and holistic leadership approach to People Operations and Strategy at Crisis Text Line.
In her early career as a public health nurse, Dana created Omni Faith Health Partnership, a health advocacy initiative aimed at decreasing health disparities in underserved communities. Later, she pivoted careers and honed her business leadership skills as a senior leader in Apple’s flagship store in Soho, NYC managing hundreds of employees, supporting thousands of customers annually, orchestrating product launches and producing high visibility community entertainment and public relations events.
Dana embraced design thinking and the product development process in her role leading the Community Team at Meetup, and she applied the same approach to Meetup’s internal team when she moved into the VP of Employee Experience role. There, she elevated leadership skills across the company, created a thriving culture of healthy feedback, and navigated significant cultural change management during WeWork’s acquisition of Meetup in 2017.
Now, as Chief People and Strategy Officer at Crisis Text Line, Dana brings the full breadth of her leadership experience to the table, helping to create a place where Team Crisis Text Line can do their best work and have the most impact toward this incredibly important mission.
